Request an Increase in Resources¶
Forms for increasing compute time and disk resources are available at the NERSC online help desk. Login is required to access the forms. All forms can be accessed from the front page of the online help desk by clicking on the Open Request icon.
Request more compute time¶
If your project runs out of time, the project PI (or one of their proxies) may request additional time by submitting the Computing Time Increase Request form (requires login). Fill in the form with the project, type of Node hours (CPU or GPU), number of Node hours, and a justification for the additional time being requested. When you submit the form, it will be assigned to the appropriate Allocation manager for review and to provide the additional time.
Request more disk space¶
If your project needs additional CFS disk space or inodes (number of files), or additional HPSS storage allocation, then the PI (or one of their proxies) can submit a Storage Quota Increase Request.
Individuals can also request increases in scratch storage via the same form.
